Sweet Rush Bonanza is the most different member of the Sweet Bonanza family from Pragmatic Play. The look is familiar — bright fruit, sweets and lollipops on a pastel candy land — and so are the basics: a 6×5 grid, Pay Anywhere wins for 8 or more matching symbols, and tumbles that drop fresh symbols into the gaps after each win. What changes is where the big numbers come from. Instead of floating bombs, the grid itself remembers your wins.

Every position where a symbol wins and explodes gets marked. Hit that same spot again and a multiplier appears; keep hitting it and the multiplier doubles, all the way to 128x. In the bonus round those marks stay put, so the board slowly turns into a map of hot spots. It is a slower, building kind of excitement compared with the original's all-or-nothing bombs.

The numbers reflect that design. Sweet Rush Bonanza pays back 96.50% by default, carries a 5,000x max win and is labelled Medium volatility on the demo's loading screen. You also get more ways to shape the session than in the original: three Ante Bet levels and two Bonus Buy options instead of one of each.

If you are new to the series, our Sweet Bonanza guide covers Pay Anywhere and tumbles in detail. This page focuses on what makes the pragmatic play Rush version tick and whether it fits the way you like to play.

The Sweet Rush Bonanza demo above is the game's own launcher from Pragmatic Play, set to Canadian dollars in demo credits. What to watch in your first 50 spins

  • The marks. After a winning tumble, look at which cells change colour. Those are your marked spots, and the next explosion on any of them adds a multiplier.
  • The doubling. Watch one busy cell climb from 2x to 4x to 8x. The intro screen sums it up: explosions in the same cell increase the multiplier up to 128x.
  • The buy menu. Open it once to see the three Ante Bet levels and the two Bonus Buy options with their prices in demo credits.
  • The info panel. Read the paytable, the RTP and the rules on how spots combine — they are the final word on how a win is calculated.

Demo results are not a forecast: a real-money session can run hotter or colder. Want to compare the feel with the rest of the family? The Sweet Bonanza demo hub links every version's free play.

Sweet Rush Bonanza vs the original Sweet Bonanza

Rush keeps the candy theme, the 6×5 board and Pay Anywhere, but rebuilds the bonus around spots instead of bombs. Here is the head-to-head with the 2019 original, using the provider's default figures.

What the table means in practice

The original is a waiting game: most free spins pay modestly, then one tumble catches a 100x bomb and the round jumps. Rush spreads the action out. Spots start at 2x and double step by step, so multipliers appear more often but grow gradually, and the round feels like it is building towards something.

The lower 5,000x ceiling is the trade-off. You give up the very rare 21,100x screenshot moment for a game where multipliers play a bigger part in everyday wins. The RTP is almost identical — 96.50% against 96.48% — so the difference is in how the payback is distributed, not how much of it there is.

The Medium volatility label sits between the original (Low) and the bomb-heavy 1000 and 2500 versions. If you like the bomb style but want bigger caps, the Sweet Bonanza 1000 page is the natural next stop.

Bonus features: marked spots and 128x multipliers

The heart of Sweet Rush Bonanza is the marked spot. It works in a few simple stages, and once you have seen it in the demo it becomes second nature.

Step by step: from empty cell to 128x

  • Mark. A symbol in a cell is part of a win and explodes. That cell is now marked.
  • First multiplier. Another winning symbol explodes on the marked cell, and a 2x multiplier appears there.
  • Doubling. Each further explosion on the same cell doubles it: 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x, 128x. 128x is the ceiling for a single spot.
  • Pay-off. When a new win includes a symbol sitting on a multiplied spot, that spot's value boosts the win. The game's paytable explains how several spots under one win are combined.

Why free spins matter most

In free spins the marks are kept for the whole round. Every tumble on every spin can add marks or push existing multipliers higher, so the board gets stronger as the round goes on. Late spins in a long bonus are where the 64x and 128x cells tend to come into play. The number of scatters needed and the free spins awarded are listed in the paytable — check it in the demo rather than relying on memory of the original.

In the base game, spots still appear from winning tumbles; the paytable explains when they are cleared. Treat base-game spots as a bonus, and the free spins round as the main event.

A worked example

The numbers below are an illustration only, to show how a doubled spot boosts a win. Real results depend on the symbols, your bet and the game's rules.

BetC$1

A win pays (before multipliers)2x the bet = C$2

One symbol of that win sits on a spot hit four times before2x → 4x → 8x → 16x

Spot multiplier appliedC$2 × 16

Illustration: C$32 for that win

Push the same spot three more times and it would read 128x — the same C$2 win would then be worth C$256. That is why long free spins rounds with a crowded board are the moments to watch. For the classic bomb version of the bonus, see our guide to Sweet Bonanza free spins and bombs.

Ante Bets and Bonus Buys in Sweet Rush Bonanza

Sweet Rush Bonanza gives you more dials to turn than the original. Where Sweet Bonanza offers one Ante Bet and one Bonus Buy, Rush offers three Ante Bet options and two Bonus Buy options.

Three Ante Bets

An Ante Bet adds an extra cost to every spin in exchange for a change in how the game behaves. With three levels you choose how much extra to pay. The demo's buy menu lists the prices and what each level does — compare them in demo credits before you use one with real money.

Two Bonus Buys

A Bonus Buy skips the base game and takes you straight into the feature for a fixed price. The cost of each of the two options and what it includes are shown in the game's buy menu. Test both in the free demo to see how the board looks at the start of each.

Check your casino first

Bonus Buy may be unavailable at some casinos, and Ante options can differ by operator. Open the game at your casino and check the buy menu before you plan a session around it. A buy is a fast way to spend money: set a budget and treat the price as a cost, not an investment. Our Bonus Buy guide covers the original's 100x buy for comparison.

Sweet Bonanza series compared

The Sweet Bonanza series now covers several styles of play. Rush is the only one built around spots rather than bombs, which shows in its lower 5,000x cap and its Medium label. Use the table to jump to any version.

Sweet Rush Bonanza — questions and answers

What is the Sweet Rush Bonanza RTP?

The provider lists Sweet Rush Bonanza at 96.50%, a touch above the original Sweet Bonanza at 96.48%. That is the default figure: a casino can run a lower configuration, so open the info panel inside the game and read the RTP shown there before you play for C$.

What is the Sweet Rush Bonanza max win?

The max win is 5,000x your bet. That is lower than the 21,100x cap of the original or the 25,000x of the 1000 and 2500 versions, because Rush spreads its value across many smaller spot multipliers instead of rare giant bombs.

How do the Sweet Rush Bonanza multiplier spots work?

When a symbol wins and explodes, its position on the grid gets marked. Every further explosion on that same marked spot doubles its multiplier: 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x and finally 128x. Any later win that lands on a multiplied spot picks up that value. During free spins the marks stay on the grid for the whole round.

Can I play the Sweet Rush Bonanza demo for free?

Yes. The demo on this page loads Pragmatic Play's own demo launcher in C$ demo credits when you press the play button. There is no sign-up and no deposit, and demo results never carry over to a real-money account.

Does Sweet Rush Bonanza have Ante Bets and Bonus Buys?

Yes: three Ante Bet options and two Bonus Buy options. Their prices are shown in the buy menu of the game, so check them in the demo first. Some casinos switch the Bonus Buy off, so availability depends on where you play.
